New Project- Honda CB125T

September 7, 2018Honda CB125T, MotorbikesHonda CB125Tandrew

I stumbled across a fairly rare 1982 CB125T at Cooks Honda New Plymouth.

The lovely high reving twin cylinder engine meant that it just had to be rescued 🙂

Tralees Honda CG125 Street Tracker almost finished

Tim and I made loads of progress this weekend. Just the front mudguard to make, chain guard to install and then the dreaded electrics…..

Honda CBR250R

April 12, 2018Honda CBR250R, Motorbikesandrew

I picked up this 1989 Honda CBR250R last weekend. It needed a good clean up, but has two brand new tires and seems to start and run well.  Only 32,000Km’s too.

Chrome Carburetor and Taller Gearing

February 2, 2018Honda CG125-1984, Motorbikesandrew

I fancied a bit more bling so fitted a chrome carburetor. Changed the front sprocket to a 17 tooth as well. It will now do an indicated 120Km/h flat out . OK on the motorway cruising at 90-100Km/h now. The bigger sprocket was just what it needed. Not sure about all the yellow though. I will change the tubes and paint the choke lever black.

Bought another bike on a whim today

January 22, 2018Motorbikes, Suzuki RG150Eandrew

Saw this RG150E on Facebook market place today. Went to see it. Owner says has had full engine rebuild (piston, cylinder, crankshaft, con-rod, main bearings, even new crankcases), water pump, clutch. He couldn’t get it to run right. Has WOF and rego, so home it came.

Fork preload adjusters installed

January 19, 2018Honda CG125-1984, Motorbikesandrew

These were a bit of a nightmare to fit. They had the wrong thread when they arrived. I had to machine the old thread off and buy an M26x1.0mm die to cut the thread to right size.
