I managed to source a new exhaust for my CG125 tracker that is just perfect! The end of the muffler is in line with the rear wheel spindle and it doesn’t foul on the stock kick-starter, bonus!

Coming Together Nicely
More progress on the Bitza Build. Got my ignition switch mounted, made one of the missing top engine mounts, made the coil mounting bracket fit, painted the shorty mudguards (not my finest work, to be fitted after compliance with a smaller tail light), fitted the exhaust from my “good” CG (not sure I like this one anymore so a new one coming for my “good” CG). Engine starts easily and runs well. Valve clearances need doing, but there is an odd noise coming from the bottom end. A sort of clicking, doesn’t sound like it’s from the engine, maybe clutch or gearbox. Further investigation required.
Even more progress!
More Progress with the Bitza Build
The Bitza Build is Coming Along Nicely
Another CG build
I’ve got so many CG125 parts left over I thought I would build another one to use them up. I managed to pick up a frame, engine and some other bits and bobs for a good price so I now should have everything I need to complete. This one will begin it’s next life as it started it’s first life, as a CG110. And so it begins again.
Bye Bye CB125T
CB125T is finished
Another one done. I quite like this one.
The Triumph Arrives
The “New” Honda Cub (NBC110) arrives
The insurance company wouldn’t insure Thomas’ Z300 when parked on the street overnight when he’s at his mums in the city, so we looked for a cheap and cheerful moped he could use when he stays in town. Initially we thought we wanted a moped, but a thorough search didn’t find anything that was reasonable value for money at our lowish budget. Then I spotted this NBC110 at a price that was roughly double or budget, but it seemed like much better value for money. And hey, it’s a Honda Cub, so we had to have it. Ex Postie bike with a high 57,000Km’s, but it’s obviously been well serviced and maintained and goes great. EFI means super low fuel consumption and 110cc means it will actually go up Wellington’s hill at a reasonable pace. The top box was an added bonus. Result!
Kawasaki Z300 Arrives
We picked up this 2018 Kawasaki for a bargain price. It had been for a slide on both sides, but after fitting a new front wheel, new rear tail piece panel, muffler and engine clutch cover paint, plenty of buffing and it’s come up mint. Thomas is most happy! It goes really well, has EFI so should be really good on gas and has only done 2500Km’s, pretty much brand new 🙂 Good for him to have something that’s a little more capable on the motorway.
